The conference announced that its Metro identity would take effect July 1, 2026. Older schedules, brackets and record books may still say MAAC or Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. These labels refer to the conference's previous name, not an additional softball league to search separately.

The official 2026 statistical report includes batting, individual leaders, results and game highs. It is useful for comparing how a team scored runs or finding a past matchup. An overall batting average is not a league standing, and the report's 2026 results should not be presented as the 2027 season.

If a school's old softball recap uses MAAC while its new page says Metro, check the date before treating that as a contradiction. Use the 2027 school schedule for the upcoming opponent and the historical results report for previous meetings. A conference rebrand does not by itself announce new tournament dates or TV coverage.
