Download an ICS file or subscribe: which should I choose?

Download is a one-time copy of games matching your applied filters, including games beyond the current preview page. Subscribe connects your calendar to one team's or one conference's season so it can check for later changes.

A weekend list versus a whole season

Use Download for a date range or a specific set of games. A subscription ignores date, TV and other game filters and follows the full selected season. If both team and conference are selected, the link follows the team.

A new season needs its own link

The year in the subscription URL is fixed. To follow another season, select that year and subscribe to its link. The calendar does not automatically switch seasons.

Add college softball to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook

Copy the subscription URL above after choosing a team or conference and selecting Find games. Use the subscription option below, not Import, if you want later changes.

Google Calendar on the web

On a computer, open Google Calendar. Next to Other calendars, select +, then From URL. Paste the link and select Add calendar. Add URL subscriptions on the web first; this option is not in the Google Calendar mobile app.

Apple Calendar on iPhone, iPad or Mac

On iPhone or iPad, open Calendar > Calendars > Add Calendar > Add Subscription Calendar and paste the URL. Follow the prompts; button names vary by version. Choose iCloud to see it on your Apple devices. On Mac, use File > New Calendar Subscription.

Outlook on the web

Open Calendar > Add calendar > Subscribe from web. Paste the URL, give the calendar a name and select Import or Save as prompted. For a one-time ICS file instead, choose Upload from file.

First-pitch times and your calendar's timezone

A calendar event needs both a start time and a known timezone. The preview can list more games than the download contains: games without a confirmed start instant are left out, not assigned midnight or an estimated time.

Why a listed clock time may not be ready

A school may list 6 PM without confirming the timezone. That is not enough to place an accurate event in your calendar. It stays out until the time and timezone are confirmed.

Traveling to an away game?

The preview uses the timezone selected on this page. Your calendar app displays imported events in its own timezone; the same first pitch can appear on a different date across timezones. Check the venue and game details before traveling.

Calendar changes, reminders and duplicate games

Subscriptions refresh when your calendar provider checks the link, not necessarily as soon as a game changes. This site does not control that interval. Recheck the game page for late postponements or start-time changes.

Avoid duplicate games

Subscribe once to each calendar you want. Importing downloaded files repeatedly, or importing and subscribing to the same games, can create duplicates. Remove the old imported calendar before replacing it when possible.

Set your own game reminders

Choose reminder and notification settings in your calendar app; this tool does not set alerts for you. To stop following a season, unsubscribe from or remove that calendar in the app. Deleting a downloaded file does not remove events already imported.
