Follow United Athletic Conference softball in its new all-sports era. The 2027 championship is scheduled for May 12–15 at Eastern Kentucky; do not confuse the tournament field size with the total membership or use an old football-only UAC schedule.

2027 UAC softball championship

Eastern Kentucky hosts six qualifiers

The UAC's 2026–27 championship calendar lists softball for May 12–15 at Gertrude Hood Field in Richmond, Kentucky, hosted by EKU. The stated six-team field refers to the championship. It is not a count of every UAC school or every program playing softball.

The ASUN and UAC's joint West Florida announcement distinguishes their memberships beginning with fall 2026. A shared announcement does not mean one combined softball championship. Use the UAC softball page for UAC competition and the ASUN page for ASUN competition, rather than a football affiliation to choose a schedule.

The official UAC softball standings page is labeled 2027. An empty table before games begin is not a tie-break order or a predicted finish. Follow the school schedules for announced opponents, and wait for the championship bracket to identify the six qualifiers and their opening games.

Check the listing for the specific game

The UAC is included in the ESPN agreement beginning with the 2026 academic year. The announcement covers ESPN+ events and selected television exposure across sports; its basketball and football selections are not softball listings. For a UAC softball game, wait for the specific watch link rather than assuming it is on a linear ESPN channel.
