James Madison Softball Schedule 2027
James Madison has five confirmed opening-weekend games at the 2027 Sarasota College Softball Classic, including Florida State and Alabama on consecutive evenings. Later in the spring, JMU will host the Sun Belt softball tournament in Harrisonburg, but hosting alone does not put the Dukes in the field.

JMU's five Sarasota games, all in Eastern time
The Dukes face Baylor Thursday, February 11 at 4:30 p.m. ET, then Florida State at 7 p.m. They play Alabama Friday at 7 p.m., Ohio State Saturday at 1 p.m., and Texas State Sunday at noon. All five are neutral-site games at Sarasota's 17th Street Regional Sports Complex. The organizer says start times can change, so recheck its game schedule before traveling.

A separate May tournament comes to Harrisonburg
JMU is the host of the May 12–15 Sun Belt Softball Championship at Bank of the James Field at Veterans Memorial Park. That is a postseason event, not an extra confirmed JMU regular-season game; the Dukes still have to earn a spot. JMU's current 2026–27 game page displays fall exhibitions rather than its complete spring schedule, so look for a later school release before planning other home dates.
