Five named opponents at the NFCA season opener

The Hokies meet Mississippi State Friday, February 12 at 10 a.m. ET and Nebraska at 1 p.m. ET. Wisconsin follows Saturday at 11 a.m., then Tennessee at 4 p.m. ET. Texas Tech is the Sunday, February 14 opponent at 10 a.m. ET. The organizer places all five at Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater.

A second Clearwater event is confirmed, but its matchups are not

Virginia Tech returns to the separate Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational February 18–21 for the first time since 2023. The school's announcement says its game pairings will be released in November. Do not confuse those pending matchups with the five NFCA games one week earlier, or with the school's 2026 fall exhibitions in Blacksburg.
